December 2011 Update

Hello to all Boronia Swimming Club members and families,

The committee would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Christmas.

I would like to thank our committee for their hard work throughout the year. We would not have a club without these people working behind the scenes.

Also a big thanks goes to our coaches for their patience and persistance beside the pool. The results of their efforts are showing with club records being broken almost weekly, swimmers acheiving state times and many many PB's week after week.

To our parents and families who help out at aggregate and competitions, thank you to you. Once again we can not run these events without your help.

We have been able to gain access to the outdoor pool at Knox Leisure Works over the Summer months. When we return to training on the 4th of January, we will start using this pool as well as the indoor pool. The sessions outside will give us more lane space over the busy summer months. It will also allow our swimmers to really focus on their turns in a 25m pool. With better turns will come better times.

Once again, thank you to those who have filled out the survey and code of conduct forms. We still require more feedback and for all swimmers to return the code of conduct form signed by them and their parents.

From the information that we have gathered so far, we are making one small change. We will no longer have dryland training on a Tuesday night. This session will revert back to a normal swim session. After Christmas there will only be dryland training on Wednesday nights.

I look forward to seeing you all in the new year.
